Organizational intelligence at scale.

Illumina is the memory layer for your organization. Connect GitHub, Slack, and Jira, retain what your teams and agents learn, and recall it with precision — through one API, SDKs, and MCP.

Illumina namespace dashboard showing recall results

Built on boring, provable infrastructure

Vectors, full-text, and the graph in one PostgreSQL — writes orchestrated by Temporal, agents spoken to over MCP.

PostgreSQLpgvectorTemporalDeepSeekS3MCP

One memory layer. Every tool, every agent.

Three primitives — retain, recall, reflect — turn what your organization knows into something your people and agents can use.

Recall that shows its work

Every query fuses semantic, lexical, graph, and temporal retrieval — plus a community-summary arm when the question is thematic — then reranks the candidates with a cross-encoder and scores them by relevance, recency, and corroboration. You get the right memory, not the nearest vector. When the inference stack is down, recall degrades to the arms still standing and tells you it did, instead of failing.

What did we decide on the retry logic last quarter?

Linked the thread from March and the follow-up decision in the spec.

Who was in that meeting?

Sam, Priya, and the support lead at the time.

Pull the rationale too.

Done. Here is the memory.

Memory your agents can use

Agents connect over MCP and get retain, recall, and reflect as first-class tools. Every agent in your org reads from and writes to the same durable memory instead of a context window.

Which accounts asked for single-tenant deployment last quarter?
recall("single-tenant requests, last quarter") → 7 accounts. Most recent: Acme, May 12, from the sales-calls namespace.
Note that the Acme pilot is now blocked on legal review.
retain("Acme pilot blocked on legal review") → stored. Linked to Acme, pilot, legal-review.
Every agent on this namespace will recall that the moment it matters.

Your systems of record, already in memory

Connect GitHub, Slack, and Jira and their history keeps syncing itself — merged PRs, issues, channel threads, and comments become linked facts and entities. Or write raw text and upload files directly. Corroborating facts consolidate into observations over time, so memory gets sharper as it grows.

One OpenAPI-defined HTTP API with generated SDKs for Python, TypeScript, and Rust, plus a CLI. Create a namespace and make your first recall in minutes.

Agent-native via MCP

An MCP server over stdio or HTTP exposes retain, recall, reflect, and namespace management — 39 tools in all. Mount a single namespace and the rest disappear from the listing.

Connect GitHub, Slack, and Jira

Connect a source from Settings, pick the repositories, channels, or projects you want, and history keeps syncing — by webhook and by scheduled poll, so a missed event is not a missing memory.

Recall that respects permissions

Turn on enforcement per namespace and every result is filtered to the viewer's real access — Slack channels, GitHub repos and teams, Jira projects. Observations inherit the intersection of their sources, and an unknown ACL fails closed.

An ontology you design

Define entity classes and typed relations for your domain in a visual designer, or have Illumina propose a draft from the graph you already have. Extraction and recall follow the schema you approved.

Communities, not just chunks

Illumina partitions the entity graph into communities and writes a report on each one, so a broad question comes back as a theme rather than ten near-duplicate snippets.

Decisions that supersede, not pile up

Facts are typed — world, experience, decision, observation. A new decision links and retires the one it replaces, keeps the rationale, and never decays out of recall, so you get what the team decided last, not every version of it.

Durable by design

Every write runs as a durable workflow with bounded retries and idempotent ingestion. Failed writes dead-letter for one-call redrive — a memory accepted is a memory kept.

Pay for what you use

Metered on retain, recall, and reflect operations, plus storage. Start free, scale linearly, and never buy a seat license.

Teams that stopped forgetting

Builders use Illumina as the memory behind their products, their agents, and their organizations.
